Hi there,
I have a dilemma! I am fairly new to Boston and not sure what to do here.
Tues. the 24th I want to go out to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends (maybe 12 people). The problem is my friends are pretty diverse, some are more martini, some more guinness. Know what I mean? I am trying to think of a place where everyone would have a good time. I was thinking Lucky's, but it's not very T-accessible if I am not mistaken. I was also thinking maybe Cuchi Cuchi, but my boys might not like it.
Any ideas?
Also worth mentioning a place with darts AND pool where we could also get a decent bite to eat might be a great option.
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!

You might want to try Felt. It's upscale for the martini set and has pool tables for the sport bar types. There are multiple floors, so if folks want to split up for awhile, they can still party all uner one roof. If you wanted to eat first, there is a restaurant on the first floor. If you want to reserve a table contact Rachel www.feltclubboston.com You can get there by orange, green or red line too.

I'm not sure I can top Julie's suggestion - Felt would be a great place for the situation you described. There are a number of cool places near Felt that could be alternatives:
- Black Rose is a great Irish Bar
- There are bars/restaurants in the Canal St. area - Grand Canal and Boston Beer Works come to mind
Good luck...

Interesting Idea! I have never been there. Any idea if they have darts as well? Just curious. Thanks again! More advice certainly appreciated as well.

I asked.. no darts at Felt. Personally I always thought sharp projectiles in drunken hands is a bad idea, but some people like to live dangerously, I guess.
Most places I know with darts would leave your martini swilling friends most likely less than happy.
If you want games on the whole... Jillians on the corner of Lansdowne and Ipswich is always an option. I believe it is connected to Tequila Rain nightclub too, so dancing and games for all. For kitschy fun beforehand, go for scorpion bowls and pupu platters at the Tiki Room next door.
