This Christmas, my awful fate has played a joke on me again, and instead of getting a puppy, I got two miniature chickens. (Last time this exact thing happened, I was 6 years old. Then the reaction was devastating parents and neighbors for about 3 months). So I decided to make a step forward in this particular part of my life and take the situation in my own hands. For the past  month I searched all over the pounds near me but haven't found anyone who managed to fetch my heart. I don't need a show dog or anything, I just feel that owners should look like their dogs and wise versa. So far, my nose has been matched only by one dog - a neighbor's boxer.

Go to Petfinder.com and put in the breed you are looking for and where you live and it will list all rescues and shelters meeting your requirements.  Definately help a dog if you can.
